In a future release, Genesys Cloud will remove the current system-imposed limit of 100 on restoring archived recordings.

What’s changing and why?

Previously, supervisors and quality managers were restricted to restoring a maximum of 100 archived recordings.

With this update, the restoration limit will be removed, delivering several improvements:

  • Unrestricted Access – Supervisors and quality managers can now restore as many archived recordings as needed without encountering arbitrary caps.
  • Improved Usability – The change eliminates manual workarounds, simplifying daily operations and enhancing productivity in quality assurance and compliance tasks.
  • Increased Efficiency – Teams can restore all required recordings in a single operation without the need to contact support.

What to expect in the UI?

The Interaction Details UI will no longer display the message that indicates how many more archived recordings can be restored.

When an archived recording opens in the Interactions Details view, a sentence indicates how many more archives the user can restore.

Before restoring recordings

When an archived recording is opened in the Interactions Details view, the screen is clear, and the sentence no longer appears.

Important reminder

  • Restored archived recordings count toward your organization’s overall storage usage. Genesys Cloud recommends that administrators manage restorations with that consideration in mind for optimal storage consumption.
  • During the restoration process, you must specify how long to retain the restored copy. When that period expires, the restored copy is no longer available for playback.
